THEESEEDS Institute (THEESEEDS, LLC) is a Maryland-based psychoeducational training and behavioral health education organization founded on a single, powerful conviction: that access to high-quality professional education should not be determined by income, credential history, zip code, or lived circumstances.
Founded in 2022 as a for-profit training arm of Women of Valor — a nonprofit organization with fours years of significant community impact serving individuals ages 18 through 65 in Baltimore City and neighboring counties — THEESEEDS Institute has grown into a recognized leader in psychoeducational workforce development training. We are a MABPCB Endorsed -Approved Education Provider offering MABPCB-approved, IC&RC-aligned training courses totaling 2,000 + CE, alongside a 10-course elective series and the year-long Trauma Recovery Informed Care (TRC) monthly program, offering multilingual training.
Our headquarters are located at 1730 Twin Springs Rd, Suite 218, Arbutus, MD 21227, and our training programs are available statewide through in-person, virtual synchronous, hybrid delivery formats and beyond the borders of the united states.

THEESEEDS empowers paraprofessionals, peer specialists, and clinical providers across Maryland through MABPCB Approved, IC&RC-aligned psychoeducational courses (2,000+ CEU hours, standardized at 72 CEUs). Unifying MABPCB and MDH accreditation standards, we deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed, faith-integrated training that enables relearning of behaviors, mastery of the IC&RC 12 Core Functions, and recertification for public health and clinical professionals — fostering competent, culturally responsive, whole-person (biopsychosocial-spiritual) care that transforms lives, families, and communities.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMS
THEESEEDS Institute is a Maryland-based, MABPCB-approved continuing education provider offering 20 psychoeducational training courses, 10 elective courses, and the year-long Trauma Recovery Informed Care (TRC) program. We serve behavioral health professionals, peer recovery specialists, community health workers, direct support professionals, and individuals entering the behavioral health field for the first time. Our training is IC&RC 12 Core Functions aligned, Maryland Department of Health recognized, and delivered in in-person, virtual synchronous, and hybrid formats.
Our programs serve three main categories of learners:
Entry-Level / General Public (Category A): Adults ages 18 and above seeking foundational behavioral health education, personal growth, recovery support, wellness training, or entry into the workforce.
Paraprofessional Development (Category B): Individuals pursuing or maintaining MABPCB credentials including CPRS, CCDC, and CCS.
Licensed Clinical Professionals (Category C): Physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, and allied health professionals seeking continuing education or micro-credentials in integrated behavioral health.
No prior credential is required to enroll in most THEESEEDS courses. A High School Diploma or GED (or college transcript in lieu) and valid ID are required. All applicants complete a pre-assessment based on their chosen course. Students must be between 18 and 65 years of age.
THEESEEDS Institute offers:
- 20 Core Psychoeducational Training Programs totaling 1,354 CEU hours across 10 clinical domains
- 10 Elective Courses at 12 CEUs each ($300–$325 per course)
- Trauma Recovery Informed Care (TRC) — a 12-month monthly program at 16 CEUs per month
Courses are organized across these domains: Peer Support, Substance Use, Crisis and Safety, Clinical Practice, Mental Health, Behavioral Health, Wellness, Public Health, Support Services, Inclusion, and Specialized Services.
Yes. THEESEEDS Institute is an MABPCB-approved continuing education provider. All 20 core courses are approved for CPRS domain-hour credit across the four MABPCB renewal domains: Advocacy, Ethical Responsibility, Mentoring and Education, and Recovery and Wellness. Each course comes with documented domain-hour breakdowns to support your renewal application.
Yes. Every THEESEEDS Institute core training course is explicitly mapped to the IC&RC Core Functions it addresses. This mapping is documented in your CEU certificate and course materials, providing the evidence that IC&RC member-state credentialing boards require when reviewing credential applications and reciprocity requests.

THEESEEDS Institute may accept transfer credit from regionally accredited institutions or foreign institutions recognized by the Office of International Student Services, subject to equivalency review. A maximum of 5 units of transferable credit may be approved. Transfer credit requests must be submitted at least two weeks before the application deadline. Training must have been completed within the last five years with a grade of B or higher.

Yes. Non-immigrant foreign students are enrolled under appropriate visa status — M visa for vocational and technical programs, J visa for visitor exchange programs, and F visa for academic and language programs — consistent with federal requirements.

TRAINING FORMAT AND SCHEDULING
Classes are delivered through a combination of unified, synchronous, and asynchronous learning.

Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. The maximum number of allowable absences is two (2). Students who miss more than two sessions will be withdrawn from the current cohort and advised to continue in the next available cohort. Students are expected to arrive at least five minutes before each session begins.
Recorded sessions are made available exclusively to participants who missed that specific session or experienced technical difficulties. Access to recordings is granted for a 24-hour window, during which you must complete any quiz or activity associated with the missed session. Recordings may not be downloaded, shared, or used outside the training.

Students must achieve a minimum overall score of 75% to pass the course and receive a certificate.

COST AND FINANCIAL OPTIONS
Yes. THEESEEDS Institute operates the Psycho-Educational Sliding Scale (PESS) — a structured income-based discount model ensuring access to training for all qualified learners regardless of financial circumstances.
Sliding-scale eligibility is determined based on the 2026 Federal Poverty Guidelines. Income verification documents must be dated within 90 days of application. Decisions are issued within 5 business days. Families enrolling multiple household members receive an additional 10% household discount per enrollee.
THEESEEDS Institute offers interest-free installment payment plans in three structures:
- Weekly — smallest installments, due every 7 days (ideal for tight or irregular budgets)
- Bi-weekly — balanced installments every 14 days (aligns with most payroll schedules)
- Monthly — larger, less frequent installments due on the 1st or 15th (best for stable monthly income)
No credit check is required. A grace period of 7–10 days applies to missed payments. No collection action is taken without prior written notice and an opportunity to cure.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
A student who cancels enrollment within seven (7) calendar days of signing their enrollment agreement and before instruction begins receives a full refund of all tuition paid, less the non-refundable registration fee.
After instruction begins, refunds are calculated based on the percentage of the program completed as of the official withdrawal date:

Approved refunds are issued within 60 days of the official withdrawal date.
The following are non-refundable once incurred: the registration/application fee (up to $200), student ID card fees, and any third-party certification or background check fees paid on the student’s behalf.
PRIVACY AND STUDENT RIGHTS
THEESEEDS Institute is committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with HIPAA (45 CFR Parts 160 and 164), 42 CFR Part 2 for substance use disorder records, MHEC regulations (COMAR 13B.01.01), and Maryland and federal privacy law. Your information is never sold, rented, or leased to third parties. All records are retained for a minimum of five (5) years per MHEC and MDH requirements.
As a student or participant at THEESEEDS Institute, you have the right to:
- Be treated with dignity, respect, and courtesy in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive environment
- Receive services without discrimination based on race, gender, disability, ability to pay, or any other protected characteristic
- Accurate information about programs, fees, the PESS sliding scale, and your enrollment agreement — before you sign anything
- Access and copies of your records
- File a grievance without fear of retaliation
- Withdraw from any program at any time, subject to the refund schedule
- Receive a full refund within seven calendar days of signing your enrollment agreement if you have not yet started instruction
THEESEEDS Institute operates a multi-step grievance process:
Step 1 — Informal Resolution: Raise the concern directly with the staff member or Program Coordinator within 10 business days of the event.
Step 2 — Formal Grievance: If not resolved informally, submit a written grievance to the Program Coordinator within 15 business days. You will receive acknowledgment within 3 business days and a written response within 10 business days.
Step 3 — Program Director Appeal: If still unresolved, escalate to the Program Director within 10 business days of the Step 2 response.
Step 4 — Executive Review: A final internal appeal may be made to the Executive Director, with a written determination issued within 15 business days.
Step 5 — External Review: If the matter remains unresolved, you may contact the Maryland Higher Education Commission (mhec.maryland.gov), the Maryland Department of Health (health.maryland.gov), or MABPCB (www.mabpcb.com).
